Why we started
When you spend years taking people to swim with sea turtles, walk through mangroves, and explore the jungle, you start to feel a responsibility that goes beyond the tour. The Aleman Travel Foundation was born in 2021 from that feeling — a simple decision to give back to the environment and community that make everything we do possible.
We are not a large organisation. We are a travel agency that volunteers, donates, and shows up. Based in Cancún, Mexico, we work on the ground with what we have, because we believe small, consistent actions matter.
What we do
Sea turtle conservation
We support the protection of sea turtle nesting sites along the Caribbean coast — one of the most important in the world for loggerhead and green turtles.
Reforestation
We plant native trees to restore green corridors in and around Cancún, helping wildlife reconnect and the land recover from development.
Mangrove restoration
Mangroves protect coastlines, filter water, and shelter marine life. We work to restore these vital ecosystems where they have been lost.
Honeybee care
Bees are essential to the health of every ecosystem we love. We care for local honeybee colonies and raise awareness about their role in our environment.
How we support it
Aleman Travel Agency funds the foundation through direct donations and volunteer time. When you book a tour with us, you are supporting a team that puts part of what it earns back into the place you came to see.
